This year there were just the two of us for Thanksgiving dinner and because I knew the small turkey breast I was preparing wouldn't yield enough drippings for gravy, I did the unthinkable - I bought a jar of gravy fix'ns from William Sonoma.
Actually it was recommended to me by a friend and customer that works at WS. She's prepared a lot of turkey dinners in her day and is always the designated gravy maker. She confessed that she switched to WS gravy base years ago; she just hides the evidence and no one is the wiser. When her family raves about her gravy she smiles sweetly and says, thank you. Don't you love it?
I just know that there are probably a lot of you out there with leftover turkey and serving a hot turkey sandwich for dinner tonight would buy you an extra hour or so of sewing time.
