I love this...So much so that today I ordered tiny clear bags and plan to fill them with glitter and attach them to my business cards along with this saying
Do you know how when you touch something that has glitter on it - it sticks to you and it may take days before the final bits are washed away? And how every time you get a glimpse of it in the mirror you try and scrape it off but you can't so you just smile and wear it proudly? And how you'll be talking to someone and they spot the sparkle from that one tiny speck of glitter and they wonder what you've been up too?
Before Christmas all the girls that work at Strawberry Patches got together to build baskets for needy families. The ribbon we used to tie around the cellophane was heavy with glitter and as we each measured out our ribbon and tied the bows on our baskets the tables and floor became covered in glitter - We were covered in glitter! As I got into my car that night glitter fell off my sweater and jeans and into the cracks of my car's upholstery. I even found a few random specks in my closet when I vacuumed a week later. For the next few days we were sweeping glitter from the floor in the classroom and remembering the fun we had building those baskets and helping someone in need. I hope those families who received our baskets are still seeing bits of glitter around their houses and that it makes them smile and feel encouraged and loved.
Glitter can be a donation, a smile, an encouraging word, a note, or a photo that inspires. When you share it - it sticks and spreads.
I hope you'll join me in scattering glitter in 2015.
Happy sparkly New Year my friends!
