That title pretty much sums it up.
The past four months have been a whirl wind of exciting activities for this normally quiet gal. My life is usually pretty hum drum and that's just the way I like it, but recently when so many opportunities presented themselves I just couldn't say no and I'm so glad that I didn't!
A fall Shop Hop in October,
We loaded a truck and two cars to the gills and headed south in the wee hours on Wednesday morning. Road to California here we come. The two and a half hour drive gave me time to reflect and count my blessings. Thanking God for my recent good doctor report. For "My Girls" who shared my vision and enthusiasm for our booth. For the ones who made the drive to Ontario to set up, tear down and work in the booth. For the girls who volunteered to stay home and hold down the fort and to my precious husband who schlepped and hauled with minimal complaints. As I descended the mountains and dropped down into the valley on that clear Wednesday morning the sun began to rise with the most glorious display of color. It was as if God was saying, "Here Suzanne. Here is just one more proof to how much you are loved".
And loved we were. If we had never made a single sale at that four day show I would have deemed it a huge success because time after time, dear sweet ladies would come into the booth to tell us how much they loved Strawberry Patches. To Betty and June and Kelly and Linda and to all of our sweet, sweet friends: You touched us. We have cried at dinner sharing the stories of the day and meeting you. I am crying now just thinking of how blessed I am to have met and talked with you all. It's the people you meet along the way that makes life so rich.
So yesterday I played hooky from work - just left the mostly empty boxes stacked up at the store to put away later (so unlike me) and stayed home and worked on a top secret project that I'd saved to savor when I got home. All will be revealed Monday evening when six bloggers share a fun free project.
I'm excited and oh, so blessed!
