This has been a big week for the Zingg kids.
Jake spent two weeks in Costa Rica with some teachers and a bunch of kids from his school. Sarah went to church camp and Michael spent ten days at Boy Scout Camp with too few showers and no deodorant. None of the kids could text or call while they were gone so in this case no news was definitely good news!
It's always good to get away for a bit to get a new prospective on life and what's really important. Makes one appreciate a hot shower, clean sheets, a home cooked meal and your family. Makes you realize too that you can survive without a cell phone and Instagram - at least for a week or two.
Can you imagine living on a pallet for ten days in the hot Missouri sun? Michael thought it was heavenly!
Although Nathan didn't stray far from home he did help raise $340,000 for "his" hospital, Lucille Packard Children's Hospital in Stanford by walking five miles.
These kids are certainly growing up and Papa and I so proud of them. They're all such terrific kids and their parents are doing such a great job. We feel blessed to have such a great family.
We are all getting together later this summer at a beach rental in Southern California. Bill and I can't wait to have them all to ourselves for a few days.
