A few weeks ago our son Bryan and I were catching up a bit. He was telling me of their tentative travel plans for fall. He and Jen have wanted to take the kids to London and had decided now was the perfect time, before the kids get into high school.
Well, after we hung up I got to thinking about how much fun that trip sounded so I called him back and invited us to come along! Before you could say cheerio we had rented an apartment in central London for a week and booked a flight!
Oh, my gosh. We're going to London!!
This is definitely a bonus trip for us; one we hadn't planned on, but opportunities like this don't come along often and I just couldn't let the opportunity slip away.
We're planning on doing lots of kid friendly things like The London Eye, The Museum of Natural History and perhaps the Harry Potter Museum, but you can bet things like Cath Kidston, Harrods, Notting Hill, Portobello Road and Liberty of London are high on my "Grammy List".
So get out your bumbershoot and dig out your macintosh. Blimey! We're going to London in October!
