What a crazy week! I can't remember ever getting in as much merchandise in one week as we did this week.
Thursday when yet another load of boxes of fabric arrived I didn't have the energy to check it in. I just stacked it up and said I'd think about it later. Don't get me wrong, it was wonderful, just too much more of a good thing.
In the back door, hopefully out the front door. That's retail; this carefully choreographed dance of buying and selling. If you come in to see what's new, be prepared to stay awhile. There's a lot!
To top it all off I met with two salesman this week so you'll be glad to know this dance will continue throughout early next year. Heaven help me if there was never anything new.
Saturday I'm off to Costa Mesa for the day for a little retail therapy. Actually I'm not going to go to buy so much as I'm going to get ideas. I love heading off by myself to gather display ideas and check out trends and colors. I know it may sound a bit weird to some but it's my idea of the perfect day. I have my favorite spots I always hit for inspiration and eye candy. This is just what I need as the seasons change and I'm preparing to display all our fun Halloween and Christmas merchandise.
Then Sunday I'm co hosting Amanda's baby shower and come Monday I think I'll call in sick and stay in bed.
Just kidding...
