The sea glass glistened in the warm morning sun as we walked and searched.
Jake even found a rare pink piece. I told him about how it probably was a piece of depression glass from the 30's. Perhaps a broken plate dumped into the ocean and forgotten. Now it's a prized piece in his collection.
As we walked home down Seaward I once again planned what I'd do to spruce up the street when I become honorary mayor of Ventura. I think it's sad that this section of our tiny seaside town is so unloved. I do love the signs though.
Especially the turquoise and orange paint on Duke's. Apparently everything is bitch'n at Duke's.
Jake and Nathan love to hear about local Pirate lore and this fish market makes for some good stories. There's a ghost haunting that tower, I'm sure.
Yummy glazed donuts with double chocolate frosting gives us just enough energy to make it the rest of the way home.
Family's gone.
Tonight it's chicken fajitas and margaritas around the Scrabble board before an early morning drive back to reality.
