For me every New Year begins with a word for the year and every party begins with a theme.
This year my word for the year was grow so when it was time to choose a theme for our shop hop, bloom and grow seemed perfect. The last couple of years have been personally hard for me and this year I just wanted to celebrate all of the good and positive things in my life.
So we added bright and happy colors to the black and white themed blocks and set our shop hop quilt with lots of happy flowers.
We decorated the store with lots of fresh flowers and wore fun gardening aprons.
I was inspired by the hanging flowers I saw a few weeks ago here
and set our tables with bright colors.
The real flowers in my happy garden were the wonderful women who tirelessly worked
to make the weekend so much fun. We had a great time meeting new customers and
greeting old friends.
We heard so many wonderful complements about all of the eleven participating shops and although I'm sure there are lots of exhausted hoppers and workers tonight I would like to thank everyone who helped make this years event such a huge success.
Tonight after the last hopper left and those beautiful double doors were locked, I pulled one lucky name out of our jar.
