We celebrated my grandson Jake's eighth birthday today. EIGHT. It can't be possible. We just brought him home from the hospital! Jake was one of those babies who knew what he wanted and was persistent in getting it. He was the center of the universe and we all catered to his demands.
These eight years have certainly mellowed him as he has become the most sensitive, considerate and loving young man.
Today we saw Wall-E with eighteen of his closest friends. Eighteen friends and Bill and me. At eight he still wants his Papa and Grammy at his birthday party and we happily traveled seven hours to be there. It was great. Thanks Jake, and happy birthday.
I love you!
